Our Easter this year consisted of one egg hunt after another! On Friday afternoon, some neighbors organized a hunt and some activities at the church. Elliott got to sport his bunny shades and away we went.
Every child brought a dozen candy-filled eggs to donate and once they were all hidden, each child could find a dozen.
It was so much fun!
Then on Saturday, we traveled to Pocatello for my niece and nephew's baptism. Joselyn and Willard had turned 8 and were very excited to be baptized! After the baptism, our family went to the church for a luncheon and then a giant Easter Egg hunt. Gramma had provided 8 dozen or so eggs, along with buckets for the hunt!

It was a beautiful day and we also celebrated Jeffrey's 1st birthday too! It was wonderful to be all together!
Afterward, we went over to Dewey and Liz's to play some more before heading home. Elliott ventured out onto the tramp with his cousins. And Joselyn is riding the motorcycle in the background.
Elliott is becoming braver and managed to sit on the bike while Dewey started the motor. Someday he might even ride it!

After a nice visit, we came home and spent Easter Sunday at Arden and Lorraine's where we had yet another Easter egg hunt. Here all the kids are getting ready to go!
Elliott knows right what to do and was very focused on finding eggs.

Easter egg hunts are fun, but hopefully we are teaching Elliott that Easter is more than that. It is a time to reflect on the sacrifice made by our Savior and the miracle of His resurrection and the eternal nature of families. I am so grateful for my family and for the knowledge and peace I have.
