Glad it's not at my house

Yesterday we traveled to Blackfoot to go to church with Keith and Rachael as they blessed Peyton. (Oh man! I forgot to take my picture holding her - but trust me that she is adorable!) It was so great to see them and the whole rest of the gang that showed up as well. I really enjoyed the time with my family. We don't get together often enough, but it's better than nothing.

It took about 2 1/2 hours to get there and wouldn't have been so bad, except 10 minutes into our drive, Elliott threw up all over himelf and his carseat. YUCK!! We pulled over into a gas station to change his clothes and wipe everything down with wet wipes, but our van stunk pretty bad. We now will keep some carpet cleaner and at leat 2 rags in the car at all times - wet wipes don't remove the odor at all. But even with that detour, we made it in time for church. Afterward, we had a yummy lunch at Rachael's family's home. On our way back home we stopped at Scott and Liz's in Pocatello to give Elliott a chance to run around and play with his cousins. He loves them so much and just fits right in.

One of our cousins passed on a drum set that he didn't need anymore to Ben and Willard. Since my brother Scott was a drummer in high school, he didn't mind at all, but a full drum set is extremely loud and I am so glad it's not at my house. However, it was fun to listen to some performances from my niece and nephews and they were so kind to let Elliott have some turns too.

It was pretty loud, but whenever you have 3 or more small kiddoes in an enclosed space, it gets very loud very fast. It was a short day trip and we are glad to be back home, especially since Elliott is not feeling very well. He just took a 4 hour nap so we might be up late tonight.
