Temple Square

This last Sunday we attended church at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building on Temple Square in Salt Lake. Brian's sister Karen and her husband Jonathan live in that ward downtown and were blessing their new baby Samuel. It was a lovely fast and testimony meeting and great be see all the local family together. It was also a beautiful, springy day. The flowers on Temple Square are gorgeous and smell so sweet and all the trees were in bloom. It was peaceful and quiet; not at all like the previous day when swarms of people (including us) were wandering around the new City Creek development with loud outdoor entertainment and hardly any room to walk around.
We were especially impressed by the awesome fountain. It was super hard to get Elliott to turn around to look at the camera, instead of just watching the water shoot up into the sky.

I absolutely love this picture! Elliott is growing up and looking so handsome. I hope he grows up loving the temple.

Anyway, being on Temple Square with spring blooming made us excited for the LDS General Conference coming up this weekend and for Easter the following weekend.
