Teeth, the better to eat with

Trevor loves to EAT! He is a little chunk and he works hard at that! He loves to nurse, he loves baby food (but not green beans or peas - he throws up and heaves for a long time after those foods.) He loves yogurt bites and baby puffs. He wants to eat what we eat, and is getting pretty good at gumming down Elliott's crusts from cinnamon toast. He loved watermelon this last summer and I gave him a few chunks during dinner. He kept watching us eat our watermelon with forks and his head was swinging back and forth watching me eat, so I speared a piece of watermelon and handed the whole fork to Trevor. He lit up and munched on that piece so happily.
Hmm, so this is how it works...
He was so adorable with his giant fork that I grabbed the phone to take some pictures.
Once his piece was gone or fell off the fork, he would hand the fork back to me for more. He was very pleased to be eating just like us and we were entertained watching Trevor eat too.
One of Trevor's favorite foods has been honey butter crescent rolls. He does a fairly good job eating most of the roll before he drops it on the floor. In a pinch, he will eat part of a piece of plain old bread.
Look who is getting to be such a big boy!
On the day Trevor turned 10 months, September 28, his first tooth popped through on the bottom. And within 2 weeks his second tooth broke through. Now he wiggles his tongue back and forth over his new teeth all day. And he likes more food! He loves to have a whole banana peeled back for him. He eats a lot of the banana, then munches on the peel too. He likes fruit and really likes chicken nuggets, especially from Elliott's plate. He likes tuna helper and macaroni and cheese. He likes Town House crackers, but chokes on Ritz. And of course he likes pumpkin muffins, but that is the messiest of all. Just this morning, he grabbed a clementine orange off the table and bit down on it until he broke through the peel, then sucked the juice out as he bit down. Trevor really likes food and it is so fun to watch him discover new tastes. Now if only Elliott liked food as much!
