The Great Artist Program

Elliott had an art show at his elementary school. They have a Great Artist Program to learn different techniques and then showcase them. The students tried to copy these great artists:

First up is Mediterranean Landscape by Pablo Picasso.

 Elliott said this was done with watercolor paints.

 Then was Edward Hopper's Lighthouse at Two Lights.

 This was done with chalk.

MC Escher's Sky and Water.

 Elliott said they used special scratching paper with scratching sticks.

 The Green Dancer by Edgar Degas.

Elliott said he used oil pastels.

 Then there was Andy Warhol's Soup Can. 

Elliott used a sharpie marker and watercolor paints.

 Then he made a copy of The Singing Fish by Joan Miro. 

He said he used a black colored pencil, green paint and oil pastels.

 He also got to show off his alphabet book that he spent all year working on. Some of my favorite pages are the zipper Z, feathered F and X marks the spot.

 Then at home, Elliott created this Kindergarten Wall of Fame in his room. 

 I am so proud of Elliott and his creativity and the effort he puts into all his projects. 

He really is a great artist!
