Peanut butter and dishes

Elliott is at the stage where he like to do things himself. He is pretty good at eating at the table with a spoon and fork. He definately likes to feed himself though. He decided that making a sandwich looked more fun than eating one, and who needs a sandwich when you can snack on peanut butter from the jar?

Mmmmm, finger-lickin' good!

What could cause a silverware drawer to look like this?

Why, a little helper who just loves doing grown-up things that Mommy does of course!

I find it adorable and fantastic that Elliott has claimed the job of emptying the silverware from the dishwasher. The only drawback other than a jumbled drawer is that he likes to put away dirty silverware too - we have to watch him very carefully!

Elliott is also very good at picking up his toys - sometimes I think he thinks that's what toys are for, dump them out, pick them up, dump them out, pick them up and so on. He likes to sweep in the kitchen and help me throw laundry around. We are enjoying our little helper so much!

Elliott has also started saying words like "more" "light" "door" "baby" "buzz" (as in Buzz Lightyear, his favorite thing after his Thomas train.) He can also repeat words like "pop" "wow" and he can say "Elliott" and "Happy Birthday" but not on command, only when he feels like it. It is great seeing his personality emerge, only its a little frustrating when he decides to play and not sleep until after midnight. Where did our good little sleeper go?
