My brother Craig and his family are moving to Arizona so he can teach High School Chemistry. We are excited for them but it is a big move and a long drive. We finally figured out that the best way to help them move would be for my sister-in-law Liz to drive down with Holly in the van so she could help with the kids. Craig drove the rental truck and I babysat some of Liz's kids so she could go. They loaded up the truck in Logan on Thursday, then came and slept overnight here. Bright and early-ish on Friday they headed on their way and I had Joselyn, Ephraim and Ruby until Tuesday night when Liz could fly back and pick them up. We went to Salt Lake to go the Millcreek library and the cool park there. These kids can build some awesome stuff. I think Elliott really enjoyed playing with his older cousins and learning lots of new tricks. While at the library, we stocked up on movies to watch at home. (I don't ever need to watch Slugbots ever again!)

No Dewey and Liz, I didn't let them do anything dangerous. No climbing trees, just playing at the park. :)
Of course they enjoyed this park with bigger, cooler equipment for the big kids.
On Saturday we hung out at home and filled the 2 swimming pools. Elliott found a comfortable spot while the cold water was filling up the pools.
These kids were on vacation at my house and were relaxing like pros!
They even got popcorn while in the pool. Trevor was napping and they were chilling in the pools.
Sunday we took them to church but Trevor was sick so I took him home while Brian took them to primary. Monday was the 4th of July and we went to my aunt Mona's house in Erda to celebrate with my aunts. Again, Trevor was feverish and miserable and not happy to be there.
But the other kids LOVED the giant pool my uncle Dale got for Fathers Day.
They filled it up the night before and that much water was FREEZING. It's good it was a hot day so the cold water was refreshing. I liked playing in the pool too.
Yay for floats since Ruby and Elliott couldn't touch the bottom.
His lips aren't blue yet, but they will get pretty close.
Brian and my aunts tried to entertain Trevor so I could play in the pool. Trevor hates pools and swimming. I held him in the pool to calm him down at one point, but he didn't want to get wet. Nancy finally won him over by playing on the 4 wheeler.
Then when all the kids had to dry off and get warm, she gave them rides all around the yard and field. Joselyn and Ephraim even got turns driving. Trevor also loves the giant great danes, Diesel and Oreo.
After the barbeque and a drive thru at McDonalds for 30 chicken nuggets (Kids don't enjoy good barbeque!) we went to Wendy's house to shoot off fireworks with the Ashton kids. We bought some fireworks from Costco and were excited for the show.
It was a late night but very fun.
The next morning was our last day with the kids so we went to the Hogle Zoo. We have really enjoyed having a zoo pass this year!

We had taken sandwiches and snacks but we splurged on some dippin' dots. We got 2 flavors and sat at a circular table. We each had a spoon and took a bite, then passed the bowl on. It was almost as much fun passing the bowls around the circle as it was eating yummy cold ice cream. Most of the kids fell asleep on the drive home. Then it was time to gather up the clothes and get ready for Liz to pick them up and head home to Idaho. It was so much fun having these cousins stay with us for a few days. Ruby slept on Elliott's floor and Joselyn and Ephraim slept in the living room. These Cook kids are helpful and kind and so fun to be around. Joselyn kept asking if she could cook and we baked a cheesecake together.
Craig and Holly and kids made it to Arizona and moved in and Liz flew back home. The plan worked and it was fun to be a part of it.
