Meet our new addition, Dasiy! We now have a kitty and we love her! I love cats and Brian has always loved cats despite never owning one. So it was only a matter of time before we got a cat of our very own. My brother Dewey's cat had kittens this summer and I knew it was a perfect chance to get a kitten with no hassle. So one weekend in August, we headed up to Pocatello to pick out a kitten to bring home. Liz and the kids had picked the cuddliest one and we agreed and named her Daisy. She was so tiny when we brought her home.
She is all black except for a white patch on her chest and a smaller white patch on her neck.
Elliott was super excited to play with the kitty,
And Daisy Kitty was excited to play with Elliott, but only when he stays quiet, which isn't very often. Mostly Elliott gets too excited and LOUD and Daisy runs for cover.
But Elliott can be persistent in trying to get her attention.
I love this picture! When Elliott finally leaves Daisy alone, she stalks up behind him and tries to get close without him seeing or chasing her. They still only tolerate each other.
Daisy definitely loves people and loves to be held and petted. She purrs so loudly when we scratch behind her ears and jaw. She loves being in the same room wherever we are and comes when I call her. She also likes ice cubes in her water and clam chowder. She is a lucky little kitty and we are happy to have her. Brian is especially surprised at how much he likes having a cat.
Pet ownership - we have arrived.
