We went to bed last night as it started raining and woke up to SNOW! It was wet, slushy snow and made for bad roads to commute, but it makes me happy we'll have a white Christmas this year! Around noon, Elliott and I bundled up and headed out to shovel the driveway.
Elliott used his own little shovel to clear a path too!
But it is heavy snow and hard work, so Elliott resorted to playing and climbing up the mounds I piled on the side of the driveway.
Once we finished the driveway and sidewalks, we decided to make a snowman. Last week when it snowed, it was too powdery to make a snowball, let alone a snowman and everyday Elliott would ask me if the snow was too sugary. It was. But now with wet snow, it was perfect for packing into a snowman!
Rolling a big ball for the base.
TA-DA!
We found a snowman kit at Target this year with different expressions to make silly snowmen.
Elliott is proud of his snowman and all wet from rolling around in the snow. He likes to bury things in the snow and then dig them out again. He is also really good at making snow angels.
He didn't get cold at all, in fact he got too hot and was all sweaty when we took off all the snow clothes. What cute rosy cheeks he has!
It's lots of fun to go out in the snow and work and play, but it's even nicer to come inside to a warm house and enjoy the winter wonderland through the window.
