In the middle of our vacation week, we scheduled Elliott's graduation from Upstart. That way, Brian could come too. At the orientation last year, all the incoming students took a standardized test on computers. Then at the end of the program, the kids take the same test to show what they have learned. So Upstart makes it fun to come back and after Elliott finished the test, they gave him a graduation cap, diploma and goodie bag. When he came back into the room, he stood with Rusty and Rosy while everyone cheered for him.
I am so proud of Elliott for completing his online preschool, "Rusty and Rosy." We committed to using it for 15 minutes a day, 5 days a week. There were only 3 weeks that we missed a day. As a reward for Elliott's diligence in doing Rusty and Rosy for an entire year, after the graduation we went to the store where he got to buy an amiibo (figure for the WiiU that unlocks new features or powers in a game.)
Elliott has learned so much and I am forever grateful that the program was fun to use so Elliott can see this early that learning is fun and he CAN do it. He has more confidence in himself and his ability to learn new things. Now he is ready for Kindergarten!
